Installing insulation panels on a roof
Comfort & energy efficiency

Energy efficiency,
lighter energy bills.

Our approach

Three commitments.
A better-designed home.

Understand your home better

We examine the possible sources of discomfort: drafts, cold rooms, excessive heat, humidity, condensation or high consumption.

Choose the right work

Insulation, sealing, doors and windows, ventilation, heating or air conditioning: we help you prioritize the relevant improvements for your project and budget.

Coordinate the work and the paperwork

We build energy improvements into your renovation and help you prepare the documents that applicable grant programs may require.

Understand the discomfort

Your home is talking to you.

It all starts with what you experience every day. Note when and where you feel uncomfortable: it’s the best starting point.

  • Cold rooms or rooms that are hard to heat
  • Excessive heat upstairs
  • Drafts
  • Condensation or humidity
  • High energy bills
  • Uneven temperature between rooms
  • Insufficient ventilation
Identify improvements

Every part
of the house counts.

The envelope

Insulation of walls, basement, roof or attic, and correction of thermal bridges.

Airtightness and openings

Caulking and sealing, replacement or improvement of doors and windows.

The systems

Bathroom, kitchen or whole-house ventilation, heating and air conditioning, thermostats and controls.

And, at every step, the choice of materials that contribute to better performance. See Doors, windows & building envelope

Set priorities

Not all work
is equal.

High priority

Essential corrections

What causes real discomfort or can damage the house: to be handled first.

Medium priority

Recommended improvements

What brings a real gain in comfort or performance, to do now or to plan.

Optional

Comfort options

What makes the house more pleasant day to day, depending on your budget and timeline.

Before
closing up.

Our advantage is coordinating energy improvements with the other work. If a wall, a floor or a basement is already open, it’s the right time to fix the insulation or airtightness.

Some work is done right away; other work can be planned for a later phase, without undoing anything.

Grants

Grants?

Circuit 01 · Grants

A grant is never guaranteed in advance

The organization that manages the grant decides who qualifies, and for how much. We help you prepare your application, but we never promise an amount.

Circuit 02 · Assessment

Some programs require an assessment before the work

Several grant programs require an energy assessment by an authorized advisor, sometimes before work begins. Miss it and the grant can be lost: we plan it at the right time.

Circuit 03 · Licences

Some work requires a licence

Heating, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical: this work goes to professionals who hold the required licences. It is your safety, and often a condition of grant programs.

Saving energy,
shall we talk?

Describe your project in a few minutes.
It’s the first step toward your renovation.

Before you start

The right
questions.

Does everything need to be opened up to improve comfort?

No. Some work can be targeted. The solution depends on the source of the problem and access to the elements to fix.

Can this work be combined with a renovation?

Yes, it’s actually the best time: if a wall, a floor or a basement is already open, insulation or airtightness can be fixed before closing up.

Can you get me a grant?

We tell you about grant programs that could fit your project and help you prepare the documents. Eligibility and the amount remain up to the organization in charge.

Do you guarantee lower energy use?

Energy use depends on the building, the equipment and your habits. The goals and limits of the work are specified for each project.
