Residential Renovator

Job Summary

PBE Renovation is looking for a versatile residential renovator to participate in various renovation, improvement, and refurbishment projects for residential properties.

The incumbent performs various manual and technical work on construction sites, collaborating with the project team and various trades. They must work safely, efficiently, and meticulously, while respecting PBE Rénov's plans, deadlines, and quality standards.

Main responsibilities

• Carry out various residential renovation and finishing works.
• Participate in the demolition and preparation of the spaces.
• Install or repair partitions, gypsum, mouldings and other finishing elements.
• Carry out painting, surface preparation and touch-up work.
• Participate in the installation of flooring.
• Perform general carpentry and assembly work.
• Install doors, frames, hardware, cabinets and other items according to projects.
• Perform various repairs and improvements in residential properties.
• Take measurements and use a variety of hand and power tools appropriately.
• Prepare, transport and organize the materials necessary for the work.
• Keep workspaces clean, safe, and organized.
• Respect the plans, specifications, directives of the site manager and established schedules.
• Identify problems encountered on the site and communicate them quickly to the project manager.
• Comply with the health and safety standards applicable on construction sites.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers and other professionals present on projects.
• Ensure the quality of the execution of the work and the protection of the premises at the clients' sites.

Profile sought

• Relevant experience in home renovation, construction or related work.
• Good general knowledge of the methods, materials and tools used in renovation.
• Versatility and ability to perform different types of work.
• Excellent manual skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and follow technical plans or instructions.
• Autonomy, reliability and punctuality.
• Good physical ability and ease of working in a construction site environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Constant concern for the quality of work and customer satisfaction.
• Professional and respectful attitude during interventions at clients' homes.

Assets

• Experience in complete renovation of houses, condos or accommodations.
• Experience in kitchen and bathroom renovation.
• Experience in carpentry, gypsum, painting, flooring and interior finishing.
• Valid driver's license.
• Access to a vehicle for travel between the different construction sites.
• ASP Construction card or any other certification applicable to the work carried out.
• Experience in an environment where several projects are carried out simultaneously.
• Working conditions and environment
• Work mainly carried out on different residential construction sites.
• Travel between projects according to the needs of PBE Rénov.
• Hours may vary depending on projects and timelines.
• Regular use of hand and power tools.
• Work that may require lifting and moving materials or equipment.
