Job Summary
PBE Renovation is looking for a residential renovation site supervisor to ensure the coordination, monitoring, and quality of execution of interior and exterior renovation projects.
The incumbent acts as the main coordination point on construction sites. They ensure that the work runs smoothly, that plans, deadlines, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and proper collaboration between employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers are respected.
The site supervisor must possess an excellent understanding of residential renovation work, be able to anticipate the stakes, quickly resolve issues in the field, and maintain a high level of quality and professionalism with clients.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise daily work carried out on residential renovation projects.
- Coordinate interior and exterior renovation work according to established plans, specifications and schedules.
- Organize site priorities and ensure the logical sequence of the different stages of work.
- Supervise employees, renovators, subcontractors and other stakeholders present on the site.
- Ensure that each stakeholder clearly understands the work to be done and quality expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and compliance of work.
- Quickly identify deficiencies, errors or deviations and implement necessary corrections.
- Monitor the progress of the work and report any delays, issues, or risks to the project manager.
- Participate in the planning of material, equipment, and labor needs.
- Check material availability and coordinate deliveries with suppliers.
- Ensure that the materials received correspond to the orders and requirements of the projects.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, measurements and technical instructions.
- Conduct surveys, measurements and checks on site when necessary.
- Document the progress of the work using photos, notes, reports, or lists of deficiencies.
- Coordinate the different stages with specialized subcontractors.
- Prevent conflicts between the different trades and ensure a good organization of the site.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the protection of properties, existing finishes, furniture and spaces occupied by customers.
- Ensure professional communication with customers when required.
- Participate in final inspections and project closures.
- Prepare and monitor deficiency lists until they are fully resolved.
- Confirm that the work is completed in accordance with PBE Rénov standards before handing it over to the client.
Types of supervised projects
The supervisor may be called upon to coordinate and participate in various home renovation works, including:
- complete renovation of houses, condos or housing;
- kitchens and bathrooms;
- basements;
- demolition and interior reconstruction;
- partitions, gypsum and finishing;
- painting;
- flooring;
- doors, mouldings and interior finishes;
- general carpentry;
- cabinets and integrated elements;
- renovation and improvement of facades;
- exterior coatings;
- terraces and outdoor structures;
- exterior windows and doors;
- general repairs and improvements;
- Coordination of specialized work such as plumbing, electricity, heating or other regulated work carried out by authorized professionals.
Profile sought
- Significant experience in residential construction or renovation.
- Experience in site supervision, coordination or management.
- Good understanding of the different stages of a residential renovation project.
- Excellent knowledge of materials, construction methods and renovation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and technical documents.
- Ability to quickly identify quality or execution issues.
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Autonomy and a sense of responsibility.
- Leadership and ability to supervise a team.
- Good judgment and ability to make decisions quickly in the field.

Requirements and assets
- Previous experience as a supervisor, foreman or site manager.
- Valid driver's license.
- Access to a vehicle for travel between construction sites.
- ASP Construction card or equivalent certification, when required.
- Knowledge of the standards and practices applicable to residential construction in Quebec.
- Knowledge of the requirements of the RBQ, the CNESST and the applicable health and safety rules is an important asset.
- Experience with project management software, site reports or deficiency tracking is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in French; English is an asset depending on the projects and the clientele.
